ENVIROWASTE: EnviroWaste is a dewatering and containment solution company launched to promote a methodology in utilizing certain chemicals and the Geotube® for dewatering sludge and manure.
What is EnviroWaste Technology, Inc.?
EnviroWaste Technology, Inc. is launched to promote dewatering as an alternative to existing and traditional liquid waste technologies on the basis of economic and operational benefits for liquid waste generators. We have developed a methodology in applying chemistry and a simple filtering method to contain solids while separating the free-water from the liquid waste.
EnviroWaste develops value based comprehensive dewatering and containment solutions of solids separation from liquid waste for Industrial, Municipal, and Agricultural operations. These solutions promote effective and efficient sludge separation. The methodology provides opportunity for cost effective management to decrease sludge volume, ease the operational and financial burden on existing treatment technologies, control costs, minimize odors, and optimize relocation alternatives for recycling by composting, soil amending, or land filling. We are committed to delivering high-functioning, operational solutions to the management of liquid wastes, that in turn, assists Industrial, Municipal, and Agricultural enterprises to optimize their process in complying with environmental regulations.
Executive Summary:
Recent advancements in waste containment and "water-from-water" separation technologies have created significant opportunities for performance improvement within the waste water management industry. Through a series of strategic alliances, EnviroWaste Technology, Inc. has combined these advanced technologies with the best management practices to create a state-of-the-art waste water treatment methodology that:
- May be used in place of, or augmentation to, an existing waste-water management plant
- Does not require extensive capitalization
- Lowers day-to-day management costs
- May be rapidly deployed
- Meets or exceeds existing and anticipated federal compliance regulations
EnviroWaste focuses specifically upon small municipalities, light industry, and confined-animal-feedlot-operations (CAFO). These markets face significant difficulty in the maintenance of cost-effective waste water management facilities due to the relatively small tax bases, business margins, either/or land base (historically used to disposition manure waste-water in agricultural settings), across which the capital and ongoing management expense may be spread. It is estimated that these markets collectively comprise a potential business opportunity of approximatedly $5 million, based upon the level of fines levied by the EPA in the state of Iowa for year 2002 alone. This essentially represents the annual cost of compliance demanded by the federal government. It does not take into account the opportunity that exists within these markets to improve performance and reduce costs. We estimate that this process may reduce operating costs by as much as 10% and may improve the number of turns of waste-water inventory by 20%, thus relieving aging plants (defined as municipal waste-water installations, industrial containment vessels, and/or lagoons for sludge/manure slurry) of current burdens and potentially extending the capacity and life of the plant.
